Within minutes of the arterial A9 Gushat Cottage is within easy striking distance of Perth, Edinburgh and Glasgow. There are good, quick and reliable train connections from Perth, Edinburgh and Stirling to Pitlochry. After that Gushat is an easy taxi or bus ride away. Getting to Inverness by road or rail is also perfectly possible. It simply requires a little more planning. Strathtays village shop (200 yards) is good for basics friendly, welcoming and helpful. Aberfeldy (7 miles) has a good little Co-op supermarket, an excellent deli and old fashioned green grocer, Farm Fresh, and wonderful meals to take home from Dows.
