Gushat Cottage provides luxury self catering accommodation in Highland Perthshire for up to six people. Cots and high chairs are available for tots. The well stocked and friendly village shop and post office is within a few hundred yards. The local pub provides great pub grub and more and is an easy walk away. Good cycling, great walks, challenging golf, and some of the best fishing and canoeing in the country … all is available a 5 minute walk away.
We want you to feel that Gushat Cottage is your luxury holiday home from home during your stay so we’ve made sure that everything that you could possibly need for a wonderful holiday is in place. There’s plenty of room for a party of six to really stretch out. Every bedroom has an ensuite bath or shower room; there is a spacious and sumptuous sitting room with galleried library; the large kitchen has every modern convenience; in the corner by the window overlooking the garden there is a teak bench and occasional table ideal for elevenses or morning coffee; a dining room that includes a generous dining table with seating for at least six. The cottage is fully insulated and with wood burning stoves, part off peak and part underfloor heating everything is here to ensure a level of warmth and comfort.
Gushat Cottage, within sight and sound of the River Tay, faces South and catches the sun. Watch out for the red squirrels and roe deer in the garden; hear the woodpeckers in the trees and see the buzzards over the golf course. Snowdrops, crocus and daffodils blanket the locality in the spring; the little patio with garden furniture is the ideal setting for a barbeque on a long, still summer evenings; the russets of bracken, beech and oak bedeck the Perthshire countryside in the autumn and the natural hospitality of the Highlands supplies the warmth for the winter. The housekeeper to Gushat Cottage lives close by and is always on hand and available for help with and advice.
After your golfing break, your adventure holiday or your week’s fishing on the river you’ll head for home wondering why quality self catering accommodation isn’t always as good as this!
