Out and about
Whatever the time of year, exploring the countryside in the locality of Strath Tay and the broader county of Perth is always an adventure for the adventurous, a shopping experience for the shopaholics, a chance to explore the numerous great cafes for those in need of their caffeine "fix". Days out are never dull.
Drive down Glen Lyon, the longest glen in Scotland, in search of the golden eagles, over to Lochs Rannoch and Tummel and on to The Queen’s View or up to historic Killiecrankie and the excellent visitor centre.
The heritage villages of Kenmore and Dunkeld are a “must see” as is Birnam with its connections with Beatrix Potter and the cultured amongst us are more than adequately served by the famous Festival Theatre in Pitlochry.
The city of Perth with its vennels and alleys, its river and parks, its galleries and museums has some super shopping. Breizh Restaurant in the High Street is simply the best place for lunch. The short wait is worth it!
